Jared started with the Phoenix Police Department in 2001 and retired in 2022 at the rank of Lieutenant. He has worked patrol in both the north and south zones and was also a detective investigating repeat offenders, drug offenses, and sex crimes. Jared promoted to sergeant in 2009 and supervised patrol squads in both the north and south zones, a Community Programs Squad, Downtown Operations Squad, Community Response Squads, and the Employee Assistance Unit. Jared spent nearly five years rebuilding and supervising the Phoenix Police Department’s Employee Assistance Unit. The Employee Assistance Unit enhances the emotional, physical, financial and mental well-being of the department’s approximately 4,100 employees and their families (approximately 12,000 to 15,000 total).

The Employee Assistance Unit consists of seven detectives, a sergeant, a contracted psychological team, over 50 person CISM/Peer Support Team, and four chaplains. Jared has worked with numerous public safety agencies and private companies throughout the state of Arizona, assisting with creating a wellness program and critical incidents affecting individuals and organizations.

Jared now works as a Lieutenant for the Peoria Police Department, where he is assigned to patrol and is leading the building of a new Employee Wellness Unit. Jared has a Bachelor of Arts in History, a Master of Organizational Leadership and a Master of Psychology.
